The most exciting event this weekend in the Victor Valley

Apple Valley, CA – The Apple Valley Airshow and NAPA© Auto Parts Car Display promises to be one of the most exciting Victor Valley events this weekend at the Apple Valley Airport on Saturday, October 13.

The Show attracts families and spectators from all of Southern California. The line-up includes impressive aerobatics by the Red Eagles Aerobatic Formation Team, Vicky Benzing, Tony Higa, Sammy Mason, Chuck Coleman, John Collver, and Rob Harrison “The Tumbling Bear.” 

Not only will you see aerobatics, but also favorites such as Rich Piccirilli with Just In Time Skydivers, West Coast Ravens Formation Team, military warbirds like the F4U Corsair, two P-51 Mustangs from Planes of Fame Air Museum. Plus, added to the line up this year is military participation by the U.S. Coast Guard - C-27J Spartan and Air National Guard C-130J Super Hercules Fly-bys.

In addition to the sky excitement, on the ground, you will see experimental and vintage airplane static displays and the NAPA® Auto Parts Car Display “Show and Shine” where you get to vote for your favorite! Plus, bring the kids to the popular Kids Area where they can learn to build an airplane, or a rocket! And, this year the California Aerospace University will have a flight sim for everyone to try. 

Community volunteers such as Millionaire Mind Kids and the Academy for Academic Excellence – AF JROTC are a big part of the airshow. Without all the volunteers and our sponsors, the event would not be possible.

You can browse booths offering information, souvenirs, food and a Budweiser Beer Garden. Gates are open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aerial demonstrations from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Admission is only $8 cash, and children 11 and under free. Parking is free. Active duty military ony $5 with ID. Apple Valley Airport is located off of Hwy. 18 to 21600 Corwin Road in Apple Valley. No animals except service animals are allowed at the event. No large coolers and no alcoholic beverages are allowed, no canopies or large umbrellas either. Bring chairs, sitting blankets, sunglasses, hats, sunscreen; and don’t forget your camera.

Not only will you see aerobatics, but also favorites such as Rich Piccirilli with Just In Time Skydivers, West Coast Ravens Formation Team, military warbirds like the F4U Corsair, two P-51 Mustangs from Planes of Fame Air Museum. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet all the pilots after their performances and get autographs.
